Hi Mary
PFE are expecting to increase their dividend in December. "Fifth, also consistent with that important principle, we are today reaffirming that barring significant unforeseen events, we expect our Board to approve an increase in the dividend at its December meeting. And sixth, we are announcing today that in light of our current assessment of the company's solid financial position and its strong operational prospects, we're now targeting a dividend payout ratio comparable to the current industry average in about three years.... payout ratio comparable to that of the current industry average of approximately 40% in about three years" Q2 Conference Cal

"The dividend rate announced for the third-quarter of 2010 is $.18 per share. The Pfizer dividend is payable on September 1, 2010 to shareholders of record at the close of business on August 6, 2010.
The third-quarter 2010 cash dividend will be the 287th consecutive quarterly dividend paid by Pfizer."

I think that Pfizer is a value trap for investors. After 2011 their revenues are going to start going down, which would put the dividend in danger as there would be less in earnings to support the generous payments. I definitely expect PFE to announce some sort of a merger which would lead to a dividend cut or freeze.

I would stay away from PFE..

Hey billy, thanks for leaving a comment. I can only imagine you think PFE are about to do a 2:1 split ;-)

Is there any stocks that you currently see at incredibly lows like PFE would be at $10? I'm sure they're out there.
