Drink this half glass of S&P 500 operating earnings and then tell what what you’re focusing on.

From what I’ve been reading on the blogosphere too many people are focusing on the the recently finalised results of Q4 2008. That quarter is now a closed book, the stock market is looking forward and I suggest you do to. Yes, Q4 2008 was horrendous and profit margins will not return to the recent highs anytime soon, but the world is not ending.
