U.S. Dollar Facing Imminent Collapse

Times of stress inevitably buildup within large complex systems, this is one of those times for the USD and the US in general. Fear is being whipped up by the probability of a new ‘Global Currency’, how will the US deal with aging boomers, who has the balls or I should say equipment to turn in surpluses and debt.

NZD:AUD – Is She Going Down on Us?

New Zealand – improving fundamentals, coming out of worst recession in 30 years and possibly into boom agricultural times.
Australia, voted the country most likely to succeed in a recent FI pole and the only modern economy that didn’t enter a recession, thanks to 1 out of 3 indicators showing only one quarter of negative growth. It’s tough to pick a winner.

Fundamentally and technically the Australian dollar looks good to great when compared to the US dollar.
Kathy Lien at Seeking Alpha describes the AUD as being in the buy zone. I agree.
Australian’s are starting to ask “What recessions?”

Petrol (gas) and mortgage cost are way down.
The Australian government is handing out money hand over fist to both business and individuals.

One measure of the increased concern at the ability of the United States to finance its enormous deficits in the future is the rising cost of credit default swaps bought as protection of Treasury debt. These traded near a record high on Tuesday, with benchmark 10-year contracts on Treasuries increased to 42 basis points, or 0.42 percentage points, from around 20 in early September. The contracts have also risen from below two basis points at the start of the credit crisis in July 2007.
